The Starr Conspiracy, a successful cutting-edge marketing consulting firm based in Fort Worth’s Near Southside, retained Bennett Partners to create new office space in a 1920s-era building formerly occupied by a night club.
Working on a tight budget, the design retained as much of the existing mezzanine as possible. An existing skylight was reopened and refurbished to provide natural light into the space, which was otherwise limited to windows at the building’s front. To provide acoustic and operational separation between the creative and accounts department, a stained wood slat wall was incorporated into the design. Reflecting Starr’s casual work atmosphere, the entry lobby doubles as a lounge and company cocktail bar.
“Michael Bennett is a genius. He just happens to be an architect. Thank you Michael for designing a space that knows more about us than we do about ourselves. You don’t really know how good your architect is until you’re living in your space and realize he thought of everything.” Bret Starr, Founder, Partner and President, The Starr Conspiracy.
