Casa de Esperanza

In a public private partnership with Fort Worth Housing Solutions, the City of Fort Worth, and Ojala Holdings, Bennett Partners was brought to the team to renovate an existing extended stay hotel into permanent supportive housing for COVID vulnerable homeless individuals utilizing CARES Act Funding.

The project features 119 efficiency-style dwelling units as well as on-site case management offices and a large community room for resident activities and group meetings. Bennett Partners and Ojala worked together to change the zoning from Intensive Commercial to Planned Development/Multi-Family with an uncontested presentation before both the Zoning Commission and City Council. Additionally, there were a few code updates to be made in the change of use from transient hotel (R-1) to non-transient multi-family (R-2). The project was kicked off in September 2020 and was fully occupied by December of 2020.
