In the pursuit of greater accessibility to their students, Tarrant County College sought out Bennett Partners to renovate a recently vacated office tower on their Trinity River Campus to relocate and co-locate their previously off-site administration departments.
The team worked with the college to design a forward thinking, collaborative office. In their previous setting, the administration departments were in “silos”, physically and functionally separated by their space. By utilizing an open floor plan free of barriers teams are encouraged to work across disciplines. This new work philosophy is reinforced through interspersed collaborative spaces and shared meeting rooms. Also included in the program was a new conferencing center, functioning not just as a place for board meetings, but providing flexible meeting opportunities to a campus that had a desperate need for meeting spaces.
